【日記】摩周湖でサンピラーが見られました Sunpiller at Lake Mashu

日の出前は少し強めの北風に雲がなびいていましたが、日の出の時刻と共に雲が切れてきました。こういう時に見られるかもしれないのが、サンピラーです。日の出前から見られる可能性が高いと思ったので、ある程度、太陽が昇ってくるまで展望台で景色を見ていると、案の定出てきました。サンピラーです。ここまでくっきりと浮かび上がるとは思っていなかったのですが、見事なサンピラーでした。

Cloud was moving by strong north wind before sunrise but cloud started to be blown away just after the sunrise. It was highly possible to see sun pillar in such a condition. So we decided to wait until the sun rose. I knew it then we could see the sun pillar when the sun rose.
