【日記】摩周湖が1/3程凍っていました Lake Mashu got 1/3 frozen

朝の摩周湖は霧でしたが、天気予報では午前中は晴れの予報。こういう日は必ず霧が晴れてきます。ただ、午後からは曇りの予報だったので、9時～10時くらいがベストかなぁと思って出かけてみたら、ちょうど霧が晴れて来てくれる瞬間に立ち会うことができました。すると、足元の湖面が凍っているではないですか。 29日のときは全く凍っていなかったので、昨日ある程度凍っていたものが、寄せられた分と新たに凍った分と、その上に降った昨晩の雪とで、とてもきれいな景色に出会うことができました。

Lake Mashu was covered by the mist in this early morning but weather forecast said it was sunny in this morning. In such morning, I knew the mist would be away. But weather forecast said it would be cloudy this afternoon. So I thought 9 ~ 10 o’clock was the best time. I could then visited Lake Mashu just before the mist went away. Surprisingly part of the lake was frozen! As it wasn’t frozen on 29th, it may have been frozen yesterday. Snow from last night was on the Ice. It was very beautiful view.
