【日記】摩周湖に朝陽がとろけ込んでいました Morning sunshine was reflected on Lake Mashu

夜から北風が吹いていたので、今朝は北から屈斜路カルデラに流れ込んでくる雲海を摩周第3展望台から見ることができました。対して摩周湖には全く霧が流れ込んでいる様子はなく、朝陽が波立つ湖面に光の柱となって、まるでとろけ込んでいるかのように反射していました。太陽の光が湖面に映りこむのは早朝オンリーで、波立っていないと柱になりません。毎日違う表情を見せてくれるからこそ、摩周湖は何度も訪れてみたくさせる湖なのかもしれません。

As the North wind blows from last night, I could see sea clouds flowing into Kussharo Caldera from North at Lake Mashu 3rd observatory. No mist flows into Lake Mashu instead, and morning sunshine was reflected like light pillar on rippling lake surface. Only when the surface is rippled, sun light is reflected like a pillar on the surface which we can see only in the morning. Because we can see a different face of the lake everyday, it may be the lake which makes us visit many times.
