【日記】カラマツの黄葉がきれいでした Yellow leaf of Japanese larch

普段あまり登らない山へGPSのログを取るために登ってきました。昨年はカラマツの黄葉に間に合わなかったのですが、今年は間に合いました。もともと植えられたマツですが、色づくのが他の落葉広葉樹よりも遅いので、この時期でも黄葉が見られるのがいいですね。午後から天気が悪くなってくる予報だったので、うす雲が入っていてくれたお陰でしっとりした風景を見ることができました。来年はまだ手前にあるダケカンバが黄葉している時に来られたらいいなぁと思うのでした。

I climbed mountain which I usually don’t do to take GPS log. I couldn’t be on time of yellow leaf of Japanese larch last year but could this year. Larch is not native in Hokkaido but because timing of turning color is later than any other broad leaf trees, I could see colored leaf in the end of Autumn. As weather forecast says it would be worse in the afternoon, I could see the moistured scenery with thin clouds. I hope to see yellow leaf of Erman’s birch next year.
