【日記】屈斜路湖の氷も広がって Ice of Lake Kussharo

晩秋に多かった強風も冬になると吹くことが少なくなり、今年はあまり屈斜路湖の寄せ氷が見られないまま、結氷がどんどん進んでいっています。昨日まで凍っていなかった場所でも結氷が見られるようになってきました。例年、藻琴山と中島の間が最後に凍り、全面結氷となります。ここ数日中は天気が荒れることも無さそうなので、このまま一気に行ってしまいそうな気もしますが、今年はいつになるでしょうか。楽しみですね。

It was very windy in the end of Autumn, but not after Winter started. So, we cannot see drifted frozen ice and lake surface is getting frozen. Place we couldn’t see frozen lake yesterday got frozen this morning. Lake Surface between Mt. Mokoto and middle island is the last place to get frozen in usual year. As the weather will not become bad according to the weather forecast, lake will keep getting frozen. I wonder when lake will get totally frozen this year.
